Diversity Youth Quest August 2011-January 2012

Since August of 2011, the Diversity

Youth Quest program had 131 unduplicated participants - 92 middle/high school students or recent high school graduates and 39 elementary students.

 

 

Since August of 2011, 67 parents have

attended a program session.

Diversity Youth Quest also provides additional learning activities for young children during program sessions.
Speakers include local mental health professionals, including counselors, therapists, social workers and psychologists.  Their presentations are designed to help youth and parents learn more about mental health issues and how to prevent them.

In the summer months, the Diversity Youth

Quest program offers additional activities for participants to help them stay active and

healthy.  Past activities have included sailing

on Lake Pepin, picnicing at Whitewater State

Park, geocaching, volleyball lessons and

fishing on the Mississippi River.
